Pastor Greg Gray

Brother Greg is the son of Pastor Dan Gray and serves as our pastor. He previously served on staff here at Calvary as music and youth director. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from Christopher Newport University and a Master of Science Degree in Education from Old Dominion University. In 2003 after surrendering to God’s call to preach the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ Greg and his wife, Jennifer, moved to Knoxville, TN to attend Crown Seminary. There Brother Greg earned the Master of Ministry Degree and Master of Biblical Studies Degree. After seminary training and working in the ministry of Temple Baptist Church and The Crown College of the Bible of Powell, TN he and Jennifer, along with their children, Nathaniel, Carson, and Jocelyn returned home to join the staff here at Calvary in February of 2013. In July of 2018, the church called him to be their pastor.

Assistant Pastor Caleb Canavan

Brother Caleb has served as youth director at Calvary Baptist Church since January 2016. He graduated from Crown College with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Pastoral Ministry in 2014. The following year he earned his Master of Ministry from Crown Graduate School and Seminary. While at Crown College the Lord worked in his heart and called him to preach and also led him to meet his future wife, Hannah. God led them together and they were married in August 2015. They both serve together in the youth and music ministries at Calvary Baptist Church.

Andrea Cox

Andrea Cox has served as the church secretary since 2005. She and her husband Jeremy have three children, Elizabeth, Hannah and Jeremiah. Andrea also serves as the Master Clubs director.

Founding Pastor Dan E. Gray

The Lord led Pastor Gray to start Calvary Baptist Church in 1990. He has been the first and founding pastor of our church. He has a tremendous passion for God and getting the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ to the people of our community. The Lord has enabled our church under Pastor Gray’s leadership to support over 60 missionaries and mission projects on 6 continents. In 2004 Pastor Gray led our church to plant the Community Baptist Church in Surry, VA. Several have surrendered to Christian service under his ministry and are serving the Lord around the Unites States of America and several foreign countries. Pastor Gray and his wife, Myra, have been married for over 40 years. The Lord has blessed them with three grown children who are all actively serving the Lord.

In March of 2018, God called his wife, Myra home to be with the Lord. Just two months later, in May of 2018, God called Pastor Gray home to heaven.
